Here we go again

Excuse us if we sound like a broken record, but it is ROUGH out there these days for people who are looking for jobs.

So rough, in fact, that we keep seeing story after story from hard-working folks who are just trying to get ahead…but they aren’t having any luck.

Check out what this guy is going through, and see what you think.

I Keep Getting Rejected from Jobs I’m Qualified For, and Then the Posting Stays Up. I’m Fed Up.

“What’s been going on with HR teams, recruiters, and companies lately?

I keep finding job posts where I match almost everything they’re asking for, and I still get an automated email saying some generic nonsense about them moving forward with more suitable applicants.

Well, that’s frustrating…

Then a few days later, I find the exact same role posted again, even though I meet the requirements and honestly have more than what they’re asking for.

I don’t even get a screening call.

The part that makes it even more confusing is that I’m being rejected by HR people with 8 months to 3 years of experience, who somehow have become the gatekeepers for senior roles.

But when someone with more HR experience looks at my profile, my chances are much higher of at least getting an interview.

He’s confused.

I’m trying to understand two things:

Why am I being rejected from roles I’m clearly a good fit for, only to then find the job still open or reposted right after?

I’m not convinced they found and interviewed the perfect candidate in 48 hours.

Here’s the other question he has.

Why do less experienced HR people seem to reject my application more than senior HR people?

I’m not trying to put anyone down, but shouldn’t more experience generally mean better judgment when screening candidates?

Can someone explain what I’m missing?

Because honestly, this feels extremely unfair and it’s starting to mess with my head.”

Poor guy…

He’s really going through it.

All you can do is keep trying to putting yourself out there.

The entire job market doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense these days…
