Even a job you once loved can become exhausting when the workload keeps growing.

The following story involves an employee who once enjoyed her job.

But when her workload increased, she started feeling burned out and frustrated, struggling to take on additional requests.

Although she had hoped to move into a better position, the current situation is making her reconsider her plans.

Read the full story below for all the details.

I feel defeated. I can no longer manage the work load that keeps increasing every year.

I use to love my job, but things have changed over the years.

My workload over the years has been getting increasingly larger and larger.

Now, I can’t manage any of it in time.

Any time I refuse a request due to struggling to manage my already existing workload, my coworkers get angry.

This woman feels burnt out.

I am burnt out and angry every time I complete a shift now.

I don’t want to leave because I’m hoping to transition to a better position in the same workplace next year when I complete my nursing diploma.

But I’m starting to feel maybe the right decision for my health is to not pursue that position and seek elsewhere.

She feels like she’s going to snap any moment now.

My manager clearly has no regard for us and doesn’t communicate very well with us at all.

I have no where to turn to seek guidance as everything has been left on us.

I am trying the hardest I can to not lash back, but I can feel eventually I’m just going to snap.

Has anyone else been in this position?

Staying for a better opportunity doesn’t always make sense if the current situation is already taking too much out of you.

OP’s goals and plans may have made sense before.

But I think she should think carefully about whether the new position is worth staying for.

Or perhaps another job or position could offer a healthier environment.

After all, health is more important than any professional ambition, right?

Let’s find out what others have to say about this.

This person shares some good advice.
