We’re often afraid to ask people for such small things.
She didn’t tell anyone to skip dessert and didn’t sound like she was bragging about anything, she just communicated her choice.
Still, she could’ve been nicer, after all, her MIL just wanted to make sure her mom was safe, especially as a former nurse.
Props to both parties here.
At some point, “helping out” stops being support and starts feeling like covering for parents who refuse to face reality.
