A College Student Moved Into an Apartment Next to Frat Guys Spilling Noise Until 4 AM—Now She’s Figuring Out How to Take Control

Living near noisy neighbors is bad enough, but it’s even worse when they keep you up every night.
For one college student, the problem started almost as soon as she moved into a new apartment.
A large group of fraternity members lives on the same floor, and they spend hours running between rooms, stomping, and slamming doors.
The worst part is that the noise often continues until 3 or 4 in the morning, even though quiet hours start at 10pm.
Now, with early classes starting, she’s losing patience but worries that saying something will make things even worse.

Really loud frat boys who surround my apartment
I just moved into an apartment for college.
There are these frat guys who are ridiculously ******* loud throughout all hours of the day and the night. There’s probably about 18? 24? of them in total, and they all live on my floor.
My bedroom wall is right up against one of their apartments, and our apartment is directly across from another one of theirs.
They have “quiet hour,” but that doesn’t keep them quiet.
They constantly slam their doors because they don’t take the time to shut them properly. I don’t think they do it on purpose. They just don’t care enough to shut them quieter since they’re constantly in and out.
They’re all friends but live in different rooms, so they will run back and forth between each other’s rooms, but they stomp so loudly. This **** lasts up until 3 or 4 in the morning, and it’s becoming intolerable.
Our “quiet hour” begins at like 10 pm, and classes just started.
Now, she’s unsure what to do.
I don’t really want to talk to them or leave a note because I don’t think they will take me seriously. I feel like they’ll just make fun of me, which I could care less about, or they’ll just become even noisier on purpose.
Like, I don’t care, bro. Just shut your doors properly.
On the weekends, it’s like whatever, go to a bar, come home drunk, sure, but I have an 8 am tomorrow, like??? I just want them to stop making so much noise. I would be open to leaving a note or politely asking if they could be a little quieter if anyone thinks that would help. But again… they’re frat boys😭
