Imagine living next door to your best friend. It sounds ideal, doesn’t it?

It probably is, as long as you stay best friends, but what happens if you have a falling out? Would you still be able to live next door to each other peacefully?

In this story, one woman lives next door to her former best friend, emphasis on the word “former.” They had a falling out, and it seems like her ex bestie is out for revenge.

My neighbors lied about my brother to my landlord and i got served with a notice to vacate.

I’ll start this off by saying that i am okay.

Background: I 22f have been living in my house with my husband 22m for a little over a year.

My husband is a deployed service member.

The house is owned by my neighbors dad. My neighbors are my ex best friend and her fiance.

This is awful!

Things have been tense between my neighbors and us for a couple of months now.

We had a falling out in may, after a lot of messed up things including them trying to get me evicted in march.

Since our falling out they have been using their dogs to antagonize my dogs by riling their dogs up less than 30 feet from my house and yard.

Their dogs have charged my fence while my dogs are outside 5-6 times now.

The neighbor strikes again.

This last saturday my brother 14m and mom 42f were at my house because there was a situation at my mom’s house.

I asked them to wait outside while i got my dogs and they were standing outside with their dogs and they claim that when i was inside that my brother “beared up” to one of the neighbors 22m and he felt intimidated (context: my brother is a very big and tall kid, 6’2)

I knew it wasn’t true but my mom reminded me that i have cameras and they probably recorded him and my mom while i was grabbing my dogs, and sure enough they did.

My mom was spraying my brother with bug spray while i was inside, he didn’t even LOOK at my neighbors, and he was standing inside my fenced in yard not even facing them.

She has proof that the neighbors are lying.

I found these videos this evening.

I have also confirmed that they have lied about me numerous times outside of lying about my kid brother.

They also refuse to allow me access to the cluster mailbox at the front of the neighborhood, they have both keys and told my landlord that i lost my key.

I never saw that key.

A lawyer is probably a good idea.

I’m thinking about telling my landlord and/or contacting a lawyer.

I have confirmed that is why my landlord initially served me with the notice to vacate, which has since been retracted.

It might be a better idea to move. She clearly had a falling out with her friend, and now the friend is out for revenge for some reason. It’s even more complicated since her landlord is her friend’s dad.

Having a spouse in the military may give her an advantage.

Here’s another suggestion.

She can either talk this out with her former friend or look for another place to live. Maybe having a spouse in the military would give them some protection so they couldn’t get evicted, but does it really matter? Who wants to live next to a former bestie who hates you?

Moving away would probably be the best option.
