He seems to be hoping for something external to force a change in his life, when really he needs to be proactive.
If he is going to treat her like that, she should walk away and not help at all.
Mom needs to accept that she is growing up.

This mother needs to respect her son’s boundaries or she may lose him forever.
Maybe this will be a wake up call.
