101-Year-Old Woman Wins 100M Dash as Only Competitor in 100+ Age Category
101-year-old Man Kaur stole the show at the World Masters Games in New Zealand winning the 100 meter dash in the 100+ age category with a time of 74 seconds. Born in Patiala, India, she is the oldest female athlete to win a gold medal in the 100-meter race.
Labelled by many as the ‘Olympics for veterans’, the World Masters Games is held every four years. Kaur also took home gold in the 200 meter dash, shot-put and javelin throw, also as the only 100+ competitor.
Kaur has three children, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
