Mesmerizing Timelapse Shows the Remarkable Crowd Control at a Huge Comic Show in Tokyo
Comiket (also known as the ‘Comic Market’) is the world’s largest fair for self-published comic books. It is held twice a year in Tokyo, Japan and attracts over half a million attendees. That means huge lines and the need for an effective crowd control strategy.
This mesmerizing timelapse was taken in 2011 at the December Comiket. The footage was compiled from photographs taken at intervals of 5 seconds and was filmed on the last day of the Comic Market from around 1:30 am to 2:30 pm from the balcony of the nearby Washington Hotel.
