In this incredible capture by photographer Brian Yen (briyen on Flickr) we see an incredible system of roots scaling a wall as a child runs past a group of elderly people. Brian took this moment in time to reflect about our roots:

“When we’re young, we never know where to find our roots, because we’re always running in the wrong direction.”

The image was taken in Hong Kong and is part of Brian’s ‘Visual Philosophy‘ and ‘One Year in Hong Kong‘ series. Both are fascinating explorations and definitely worth a perusal.
