In this beautiful capture by James Ross, we see the famous Buachaille Etive Mòr (also known as The Buachaille or The Beuckle). The mountain is located at the head of Glen Etive in the Highlands of Scotland. Its pyramidal form, as seen from the A82 road when travelling towards Glen Coe, makes it one of the most recognisable mountains in Scotland, and one of the most depicted on postcards and calendars. Scotland is the most mountainous country in the United Kingdom. The area north and west of the Highland Boundary Fault is known as the Highlands, and contains the country’s main mountain ranges.
