Artist Living in Tokyo Turns Everyday Scenes into Speed Sketches
Hama-House is an artist and illustrator currently living in Tokyo, Japan. After receiving his BFA from the Kanazawa College of Art (whose amazing graduation ceremony lets students wear whatever they want), Hama-House has done a broad range of commercial work ranging from: illustration and design for books and magazines to advertising campaigns and promotional videos.
In an ongoing series of daily speed sketches—which he does to improve his drawing skills—Hama-House draws everyday scenes in Tokyo ranging from coffee shops to metro stations and public parks. Hama-House posts his most recent work to Instagram where is amassing a growing following.
