Artist Imagines Architecture in the Film Style of Famous Directors
In “ARCHIDIRECTOR“, artist Federico Babina creates 27 imaginary houses influenced by the film style of famous movie directors. In an interview with DesignBoom, Babina explains:
“Directors are like the architects of cinema. They are those that build stories that like buildings, envelop the viewer and carry it in a different world. Each with their own style, language and aesthetics, think, plan design and build places and stories that host us for the duration of the movie. The same thing happens in architecture where even the smallest detail helps to shape the imprint of an architect.”
You can see the complete 27 director/house gallery on Babina’s website. If you’re interested in prints, they are available through Society6.
