Picture of the Day: Leaping Driftwood
Seen here is a breathtaking driftwood sculpture by artist James Doran-Webb. The photo was taken at the beautiful Montebello Garden Hotel in the Philippines.
On James’ Facebook page, he explains that the sculpture weighs nearly 600 kg (1322 lbs) and has a stainless steel structure running from the ears down through the body, ending in 2″ solid rods that connect to a subterranean base. The wood was reclaimed and found nearby.
