Guy Exposes Shady Hiring Practices After He Applied to 60 Jobs and Only Got 1 Interview
The job hunt can be a discouraging grind.
And it can be frustrating when you realize that there are a lot of job openings out there but companies are still complaining about not having enough workers.
A Florida man named Joey Holz noticed this and decided to try to see what the deal was so he applied for 60 entry-level jobs, two a day over the course of two months.
Holz said he targeted local companies where people had complained on social media about not being able to find workers.
He shared his job-hunting experiences on Facebook.
And then Holz talked about the responses he got from the 60 applications he put out there…it only amounted to one interview at a place that didn’t sound very promising.
And Holz concluded that a lot of businesses aren’t desperate for workers, they just miss having people willing to work for minimum wage.
Holz also pointed out that the study he completed was only aimed at a very specific type of business that was hiring.
People on Facebook shared their thoughts about what Holz had to say.
A woman who works in healthcare talked about how they legitimately will hire anyone who is qualified and those people will get the proper training.
Another woman talked about how she has had a very rough go of it with her job search.
And this Facebook user said she’s been on roughly 150 interviews and she’s experienced the same thing as Holz like false advertising on job posts.
