AITAH for not wanting fly to my in laws with our two year old for 12 hours?
My wife wants to fly to have her family meet our child, but I told her no way should we put our child, ourselves, and everyone else through the risk of our child — who is flying for the first time — crying and screaming the entire time.
He offers to make other concessions, but stands firm on his stance on flying.
I am fine with helping to pay for my in-laws to come to us, but yeah, no way am I going to risk putting our child through a 12-hour flight where they could very well end up crying and screaming for a large portion of it.
His wife then begins to assume the worst about his intentions.
My wife thinks I am ashamed of our child, which is not the case, but by no means do I want to put myself in a situation where, as a parent, I have to navigate a crying kid on a flying sardine can.
