WIBTA if I talked to my parents about the differing amounts in my brother’s and my bank accounts that I accidentally saw?
“I came back from camping for the week and was going through my mail.
I opened a letter I thought was mine (it said regarding Mr Dad, Re my name). I wasn’t paying attention and opened it to read. It was a bank overview of my dad’s saving accounts for me and my brother.
What was this all about…?
My older brother (18 months older) had just under 7 grand and I had under a grand. I realized that it wasn’t my letter but had already seen.
I know it’s not my money yet it seems odd and kinda hurtful my parents would give my brother so much more. I want to know if there is a reason for the massive difference.
Now what?
But because I was never meant to see the letter, I’m not sure wether I’d be a jerk for bringing it up?
I’m hoping it’s just a massive misunderstanding.”
