Folks, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it…
This is a weird story!
Yes, I think it’s important to be a good friend, but if they make totally unreasonable and bizarre requests, well, that just ain’t gonna work!
In today’s story, a woman explained why her best friend is upset with her…
And we think you’re going to be surprised.
Let’s take a look!
AITA for breaking my promise to my best friend?
“I (27f) and my best friend (28f) are supposed to go abroad for a show I’ve been wanting to see for so long.
My best friend has social anxiety, and I’m fully aware of what triggers it.
Now my cousin (20m) who I’m very close to is also going to that same show.
I let him know in advance that my best friend has social anxiety and therefore I’m not going to be able to hang out with him while on that trip, and he was understanding.
Things were about to get complicated…
The problem started when my cousin booked a room in the same hotel as me and my best friend.
My best friend told me she’s not okay with being in the same hotel as him, and told me to change hotels.
The problem is, I’m the one paying.
My best friend is in debt and I was the one to suggest going so I invited her.
She shouldn’t let her friend control her like this…
Changing hotels now means paying more and I don’t want to do that… I told her I’m not sure I’m okay with that and I want to stay in the same hotel we booked, and she got angry, saying I broke her trust and she’s never going to be able to trust my word again.
Was I in the wrong?
Should I just bite the bullet and book a different hotel?”
