Work has been paying late since the beginning of the year.

At first, we’d get paid on a Monday or Tuesday instead of Friday.

Biweekly pay makes it a tad rougher. Then, it went to being a week late, then two.

They had us wait 3.5 weeks for two weeks’ worth of pay, and that was 4 weeks ago.

This man kept hearing promises and lies from his employer.

I haven’t seen a dime in a month. All we get is lies and more lies.

“Oh, you’ll have it next week.”

“We’re gonna give you both checks we owe you at the same time.”

We wait all week, and on Thursday, they say, “Oh well, sorry. You’ll get it on Tuesday.”

They tell us on Monday, “Oh well, maybe Wednesday or Thursday.”

They are running out of food, medicine, and home supplies.

I was able to defer my loan payment for a month, which is due again next week.

Can’t get the car inspected. Can’t keep up insurance. Electric is about to be shut off.

My mom is in her 70s and hasn’t had her medicine in weeks.
