Subleasing a place is not for the weak!

You have to deal with all kinds of tight scheduling deadlines, other people who might live in the place, and, worst of all, the person you’re actually renting from.

If that person is difficult, a whole can of worms can be opened…

And it won’t be pretty!

Subleasing issue.

“I have been subleasing a room from July 1st- August 1st.

The girls room I’m subleasing has been vacationing in another country so she offered me her room for $1200.

I gladly accepted as it was a beautiful spot and worked out for me and my work schedule.

Oh, no!

I’ve been having a great time but now she called me today (July 24) and said she’s come back from her trip early (with a cold) and since she gave me the room for a discounted price she wants to come back early.

She also offered to pay me compensation for leaving early if I wanted.

By the way, I took the 30th and the 31st off to love my stuff out so I already had this planned.

Now she’s in a real bind.

The thing is she wants me out by Monday (two days notice) and I work all day Sunday and Monday so I can’t get the room in shape before then.

Now she’s pushing it to Tuesday and I just feel rushed and don’t know how to tell her how much this is stressing me out.

Am I rude for saying I need time?

She’s giving me lots of attitude and I feel hostile energy but this wasn’t in my plans.
