Picture of the Day: NASA’s Missile Row at Cape Canaveral, 1964
Photograph by NASA
In this aerial photo taken on November 13, 1964 we see NASA’s ‘missile row’ at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The view is looking north, with the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) under construction, in the upper left hand corner.
The row of Titan (LC-15, 16, 19, 20) and Atlas (LC-11, 12, 13, 14) launch pads along the coast came to be known as Missile Row in the 1960s. [source]
