When People Stand On The Sidewalk And Block The Way Without Caring About Passers-By, This Guy Thinks They’re Incredibly Entitled
by Heide Lazaro
Don’t you just hate it when you’re walking on the sidewalk but you can’t pass through because a group of people are just standing in the way, not caring about passers-by?
This man admits to hating such a scenario and even explains how courteous and considerate he is when he’s on the streets.

Entitled to the entire sidewalk
In my city, I often walk in the metro area often.
One thing that I have noticed is that some people feel entitled to the entire sidewalk.
And do not care to acknowledge others walking along.
This man gives examples of entitled people on the sidewalk.
I will give an example of what I encounter often.
Two people stopped and conversed in the middle of a sidewalk.
And when others wanted to walk by, they did not acknowledge them, and they just continued talking.
He’s appalled that they don’t even care to say sorry.
When a group of at least 3 or more people were walking on a sidewalk side by side, they do not acknowledge others wanting to walk by.
Not even an “I’m sorry” from either scenario.
When he’s walking on the sidewalk, he considers other passers-by.
When I walk in a group on a sidewalk, I don’t mind walking on a single file to allow someone to pass.
When I converse with someone on a sidewalk, I don’t mind taking a step back to allow another person to pass.
I believe others do not offer that courtesy, because they feel entitled to their position on the sidewalk.
I’ve encountered this myself on sidewalks.
Let’s see what others have to say about this on Reddit.
This is what this user would do.
This person says the same thing happens to grocery stores.
Here’s a valid point.
This user shares their personal thoughts.
Finally, this person admits to yelling at entitled people on the sidewalk.
The sidewalk is for walking, not blocking!
