Walmart Revenge.
“I’ve (female, 36) told this story to anyone who will listen, because it was a once-in-a-lifetime event.
There was an old Walmart I would visit when I first moved to the city I’m in.
The first time I went, the cashier was visibly agitated when I politely declined to donate to whatever scam charity that corporate was peddling to customers (mainly college students) shopping at a VALUE store.
This place wasn’t very friendly…
Anyway, I digress.
Almost every visit and interaction I’d had at that particular store was noticeably negative.
The people that worked there always seemed so unhappy, and would behave rudely if I ever asked for help.
One early morning after a couple years of living there my friend and I made a pit stop to the location.
I said good morning to the door greeter and he looked at me and scoffed.
Whatever.
I didn’t say anything and just shook my head and kept going.
I was looking down the shampoo aisle and noticed a woman (store manager) leading a group of 5 men all wearing suits and showing them around the store.
I almost let it go, but I made a beeline to them and said “good morning; are you from Corporate?”
The look on that poor manager lady’s face was so unforgettable.
It was a frozen look of…oh ****.
They let loose!
Long story short, I let them know of my prior experiences with the store including the nasty door greeter from that very morning.
Just like from a movie, all of the men slowly turned to her with eyebrows raised and she went into damage control mode.
Part of me felt bad because I’d never encountered anything negative with that particular lady but I needed to take the chance and tell corporate my experiences.
The manager and the folks from corporate were very kind and polite to me, however.
Shortly thereafter that Walmart closed 😂.
I can’t take credit for it because it just moved locations, but yeah…”
