Sometimes people think they can bend the rules in public spaces without consequence.
One driver’s careless parking at a busy restaurant lot inspired one fellow parker to turn an ordinary takeout trip into a moment of petty revenge.
And what he did next will make the errant parker think twice before acting like a jerk ever again.

Entitled, meet petty
So I just got home from this about half an hour ago.
I went to grab takeout from a nicer restaurant whose claim to fame is a specific dessert.
They were shockingly busy for a Monday night, and the lot was packed.
I’m circling, as one does, and I spot TWO openings!
But sure enough, some jerk got in the way of the perfect spot.
However, upon further investigation, there wasn’t enough space in either because some jerk in a Buick parked in the middle.
I found a spot a few minutes later but still had a little time to kill, so I schemed.
So the peeved parker decides to put their devious scheme into action.
When I went in to pick up my food, I asked for a piece of paper.
The woman handing me my bag looked confused but obliged. I told her the situation and my plan, and she started laughing and wished me luck.
I went to my car, grabbed a pen, and wrote a note:
They wanted to tick this guy off as much as possible.
“I see you can’t park. I hope this helps! [phone number] It’s a driving school =)”
I couldn’t stick around to watch the driver come out, but I like to think it scared him for a second, thinking it was a parking ticket.
I’m not as foolish as to think it’s going to solve the problem, but I hope he thinks of it and is filled with rage every time he goes to park like a jerk.
It was a small win for common courtesy.
What did Reddit think?
Apparently there’s a whole industry around shaming bad parkers.

This revenge is just plain legendary.

When bad parkers go low, some people go even lower.

This parker didn’t exactly seem like one who’s likely to show any remorse.

He didn’t stick around to see the reaction, but the thought of that driver’s confusion was worth it.
Petty or not, it was worth the tiny victory.
