What would you do if you noticed that one of your neighbors was sitting in his truck which was parked on the street, and he seemed to sit there for hours on end each day? Would you do anything at all or mind your own business?

In this story, one person acknowledged that complaining about this situation almost has Karen vibes, but she’s still uncomfortable with her neighbor sitting in his truck day and night when he can see right into their yard.

Neighbor parks in his work van for hours

This guy has been a pain since he moved in 3 years ago.

It has been mostly his kids trespassing into backyards but recently it has been him.

He must work for a transportation company. He goes through transit vans and is on and off the whole day.

I normally don’t care who parks in front of my house, it’s one side parking so I live with it. But this guy even though he has a driveway parks his tall truck next to my house making my exits dangerous (we have a stop sign and people tend run through it), you literally cannot see when backing out.

He seems to be in his truck all the time.

When it’s not in that spot, it’s almost blocking another stop sign and sidewalk.

I could live with this but recently he has been just hanging out in the truck for hours.

There was one occasion he came in at 3am and stayed in his van idling for 5 hours.

It was pretty crazy we got home that day and he was in the same spot at 7pm (he moved but it was just crazy seeing him in the same spot after 12 hours).

This would be annoying.

I am assuming he is waiting for calls but it’s just odd behavior with his house being steps away and with kids in his house.

Today he did it for 2 hours and then is staring at me while I take out the trash.

It’s just annoying, our next door neighbor doesn’t have a fence and is a corner house. Sometimes he will park in a spot that looks directly into my backyard so anytime he is parked there and I take the dogs out I will see him staring out.

I know this is almost karen level rant but we believe in not bothering anyone and this guy ever since he moved has just been a burden.

Let’s assume the neighbor isn’t trying to spy on them. He may have a perfectly good reason for being in his truck a lot. I don’t think there’s anything they can do about it except for possibly installing a privacy fence.

Another person thinks a couple of the things the neighbor is doing might be illegal.

Cameras are a good idea. It might scare off the neighbor so he doesn’t feel like he’s being watched, and it would also be a good way to gather evidence.
