His Manager Mocked Men Who Wore Nail Polish, So He Started Wearing It To Work Just To Push His Boss’s Buttons

Everyone has different preferences in life, but that doesn’t mean you should discriminate against those who aren’t like you.
What would you do if you had a manager who would openly make fun of people who are different than him, and specifically targeted a delivery driver who tended to paint his fingernails?
That was the case with the worker in this story, so he decided to paint his fingernails as well, just to annoy the manager.
This is a harmless little example of making a point without hurting anyone. Well played. Read through the full story below and see what you think of how he handled the situation.
Manager says our delivery driver must be a cross dresser since he has blue painted nails. BET
So, I work at auto parts store with manager Bob. No one likes working with manager Bob.
Why does Bob even still have a job?
He makes racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and otherwise inappropriate comments constantly.
I am one of the few workers who can stand working with him as I ignore him but even my patience has limits.
Ok, makes sense so far.
Slight background both myself and Bob are veterans. Him chairforce reserves, myself being a marine.
Were both strait white male Christians, so I’m probably the only worker he has any respect for.
What does he care what the delivery driver does?
So, I’m on a closing shift with Bob and our delivery guy gets here. Bob notices his nails are painted blue.
Bob decides he should tell me how he must be a cross dresser or gay to have painted nails. Idk I zoned him out mostly as per usual.
Not sure this is revenge, but it is funny.
Petty revenge of the story? I’m closing with Bob tonight. I showed up with sparkley purple nail polish on.
He hasn’t been ignoring me, but hasn’t been going out of his way to talk to me either (which is highly unlike Bob).
I think I like painting my nails and will continue to do so.
Bob isn’t going to like this guy anymore, that’s for sure. But honestly, at least he isn’t mistreating him (yet).
Let’s see what the people in the comments have to say about this story.
This guy used to paint his nails.

Here is another guy who paints his nails.

Don’t judge a book by its cover.

If you don’t like what someone does, just ignore it. As long as the other person isn’t hurting anyone, it isn’t any of your business.
Some people just have a hard time keeping their opinions to themselves, though.
