It seems like every neighborhood has that one crazy neighbor, and even if you live in an HOA, that doesn’t mean there won’t be crazy neighbors.
While HOAs definitely attract their fair share of Karens, in this story, one neighborhood is dealing with a neighbor who is harassing the whole neighborhood for reasons that have nothing to do with HOA bylaws. He actually seems a little crazy.
The problems with the neighbor went from disturbing to dangerous, and now the whole neighborhood is scheduled to meet to discuss what to do.
Let’s read the whole story.
Neighbor from hell – having a neighborhood meeting tomorrow about it
Moved into our awesome neighborhood (with an hoa) a year ago.
Within the first week I was walking and I overheard our neighbor on his intercom say “slow down only fans”
So weird. Thought I misheard.
Her family made an honest mistake.
Nearly a week later my sister and brother in law come to visit and accidentally go to our neighbor’s house.
The guy runs out in his boxers chasing them and cursing calls the Cops and wants to press charges for “trespassing.”
The cops inform us that they get calls often from him and that it is a son (35 years old) that lives with his older parents and they’re basically mentally off.
This began a year’s worth of hell from this guy.
Here are some of the crazy things he’s done.
He shouts on his intercom to people walking by cursing and obscenities.
He yelled at our 2 and 4 year old to “shut the heck up” when they were playing in the backyard.
Then asked my husband to fight him when my husband went to talk to him about it.
The cops were going to do something about it but were giving it another chance because he has an autism diagnoses.
The crazy man’s parents are just as bad.
To be clear he can drive a car and communicate well.
His parents are also in cahoots with him. It’s always something.
They honk at people unnecessarily.
Until HOA fined him for yelling at his intercom, he would cuss at my family as they walked up to our house for “driving too fast”
This is getting dangerous.
Over time he has gotten frustrated with people walking in the street, so much so that he followed people barefoot to prove a point for them not to walk in the street.
A week later he got in his car and swerved toward a woman walking on the street.
She was terrified for her life (the police ticketed him.)
We have cameras decked out at our house and have since caught him following people with his car that walk in the street (they don’t realize that’s what he’s doing.)
The whole neighborhood is concerned.
We call the cops every time something happens and document everything possible.
This has gotten so out of hand we are having a neighborhood meeting about it tomorrow.
Unfortunately this guy is our direct neighbor and just want to know if there’s resources or more we can do. Any more ideas outside of calling the police and sending videos to HOA.
Yikes! That neighbor’s behavior is unacceptable. Something needs to be done before someone gets hurt.
Let’s see what Reddit suggests.

This is worth checking into.
Here’s another idea.
They have options worth investigating. Clearly, something needs to be done. This seems like something is going on besides autism. His behavior is completely unacceptable.
