Unexpected visitors in the middle of the night can be extremely unsettling.
In this story, a woman was startled by loud knocking and honking outside her upstairs apartment at 3 AM.
She could not see anyone through the peephole, but her partner heard knocking at other doors and noticed two men outside.
After trying to investigate what was happening, they were left confused and dumbfounded.
What do you think that was about? Check out the full details below.
3 am banging on door and honking
I honestly don’t know where to ask this, but I’m dumbfounded by what’s just happened.
I was playing a game with noise-cancelling headphones at 3 am.
And my partner heard honking, but thought nothing of it.
Then, there was loud knocking at our upstairs unit door.
This woman started investigating what was happening.
As they went to get me, there was another round of banging at the door.
I went to investigate and couldn’t see anyone through the peephole.
But I heard what sounded like them knocking at other doors.
I went to get self-defense options and eventually heard loud honking, almost like it was coming from two different cars.
They noticed two men walking around and left in a white van.
My partner saw two men walking around through the window for another 10 to 15 minutes.
Then, presumably their white van pulled out and left.
I just have no idea what they could’ve wanted or what they’d have done if I answered.
That was an hour ago now, and I doubt they’ll be back.
But I can’t for the life of me even begin to guess what they wanted.
I don’t even know if they lived here. Any ideas? I can’t find someone else who’s experienced something similar.
Yikes! That’s both strange and scary. Good thing OP was not alone at that time.
I think anyone would feel uneasy when strangers started knocking repeatedly on someone else’s doors in the middle of the night.
Since they never found out why they were there, keeping the doors locked and not answering would be the best move.
