His Neighbor Refuses to Stop Blasting Loud Music Night After Night—And He’s Reaching the Point Where He’s Not Sure He Can Take It Anymore

Everyone has their breaking point when it comes to how much noise they can deal with.
And if you happen to be one of those people who doesn’t have a whole lot of tolerance for excessive noise…join the club!
The older I get, the more annoyed I am by…well, everything…but loud noise, in particular.
Sure, I enjoy going to concerts, but if I’m not expecting a lot of noise, that’s when I get irritated.
The guy who wrote this story is about to lose his mind because his neighbor won’t keep it down…

I am at my wits end.
“I live in a house that’s almost 40 years old, so noise isolation is bad.
As I am typing this, I have been enduring loud pounding noise from the unit below for last 4 hours because the guy in the unit below has been playing his music with MAXIMUM bass on his subwoofer since morning.
Based on history he is not going to stop until late at night .
Nothing seems to help.
I have called the police.
I have talked to this guy’s siblings and his father.
They were apologetic, and his dad explained that the guy is unemployed and has depression and mental health issues and assured us they will ask him to tone it down.
Which of course he did not.
This is crazy!
One time I got so fed up I used my mop to knock on my floor and the guy had the audacity to come up and confront me for that mop hitting noise and that almost ended up in a fight.
Unlike him, I have a day job and I have only my weekend to rest in my own house which I cannot now because this guy decided the best way to deal with his unemployment and depression is to open a disco in his house all day all night.
One time until 12 or 1 am.
On and on it goes…
As usual, his brother apologized and the music got turned off and then same thing repeats.
What can I do?
