Not every name deserves to be passed down—especially when it comes wrapped in manipulation and a receipt.
We told my mom recently and she was really upset. She thinks what we are doing is extremely offensive and a slap in the face.
The signal has been lit.
I’m going to use “Michael” for discussion purposes but that’s not my name.
Stand up for your name… or someone else just might do it for you.
That was smart thinking!
Maybe it’s time to pick a different name—and a different hill to die on.
Personally “your mom’s name has no value to you,” is a red flag for me.
There’s nothing like giving someone a taste of their own medicine to get your point across!
