Faces Drawn Onto Maps by Ed Fairburn
Ed Fairburn is a self-described painter, scribbler, maker and thinker. The artist says most of his work is figurative and can be found on a variety of surfaces and contexts. In the series below, the Sifter explores Fairburn’s map portraits where faces are drawn onto actual maps as they emerge from the chaotic lines of roads and paths.
Fairborn’s work has been exhibited internationally and he holds a collection of original works and prints that are available for purchase. He can also be contacted for commissioned pieces. For more, visit him on his official site or check him out on Facebook.
