Ísafjörður, a small fishing town in Iceland, has become the latest city to test out an eye-catching, 3D crosswalk to see if it will help slow down passing motorists.
According to Colossal, the piece was created last month as part of a collaboration between street painting firm Vegi GÍH and the city’s environmental commissioner Ralf Trylla.
Below you will find additional photos of the 3D crosswalk which is fun and playful for pedestrians and hopefully effective at slowing down motorists.
You will also find photos from cities around the world that are also experimenting with 3D crosswalks.
