It is natural for some new mothers to feel scared about giving birth.

This woman shares that she was having anxiety when it came to natural delivery.

Her doctor scheduled her for a C-section for her peace of mind and emotional well-being, but her husband still wanted her to have a natural childbirth experience.

Now she’s considering something drastic but wonders if she’s overreacting.

Read the story below for all the details.

AITAH for considering divorce because my husband is constantly pressuring me to have a natural birth instead of a C-section??

l (27F) have been open with my husband (34M) about my overwhelming fear of childbirth.

Particularly a natural birth.

I’ve done a lot of research, talked to other women, and even attended a birthing class.

But the thought of going through labor and delivery naturally terrifies me!

This woman noticed how her husband strongly preferred natural birth.

Luckily, my doctor supported the idea of scheduling a C-section.

This was for my peace of mind and emotional well-being.

However, my husband has been very vocal about his strong preference on “natural” birth.

He talks about it in almost every conversation we have about the baby.

It’s like he can’t let it go!

She has started to stress out, telling him to back off.

It’s really starting to stress me out.

We had a discussion about it yesterday.

l told him to back off because it’s my body and my decision, not his.

Now, she’s contemplating their marriage.

I’ve started to consider whether this marriage is even worth it if he can’t even respect my choices.

Especially when it comes to something as personal and important as my own birth experience.

But she doesn’t want her baby to now know their father.

But I don’t want my baby to grow up without a father!

I went through that, and I don’t want it to happen again

AITA for telling him to back off? Am l overreacting?

She should stay firm with her decision, but I think divorce would be an overreaction.
