It’s common to feel ill at ease when you’re waiting for your plane to take off, so the event in this story could totally make passengers’ imaginations run wild.
“Um… Is this normal?” TikToker @nikki_makes_memes asks in her viral video?

It’s the only text in her video and it’s overlay, not a vocal. Nikki is on her flight, alarmed by a thick, brownish liquid coating and running down the windows.
For some reason, apparently the flight crew didn’t explain the liquid.
Nikki has chosen Doechii’s song Anxiety to add to the video. How apt!

“Please let me know. 😭” she asks in her caption.
It seems like more of a joke with the slow zoom into the gross fluid.
What makes this darkly funny is that she might not have gotten her answer until she has arrived at her destination, so the answers in the comments would not have helped.

It’s unclear if the answers in the comments made Nikki feel a bit less unsettled.
It would make a lot of passengers feel even safer to see maintenance happening in front of their very eyes.
But since 9/11 some people can never truly relax on a flight.

Jupiter, Florida?

I don’t think so.

I don’t think so. Good info on why de-icing is important.

This wouldn’t scare me, but the flight attendants should explain.
Because it is a little unsettling.
