Everyone has bad days or moody periods, but if you are at work and if you work in customer service, it’s a good idea to be polite and smile.

If you went to a restaurant and had a server who was really rude to you, would you still leave a tip?

In this story, one couple decides not to give their server a tip.

Was that decision justified, or should they have handled the situation differently?

Let’s read the whole story to decide.

Refusing to tip a bad server

My fiancé and I took our children to eat dinner at our favorite restaurant.

Our normal waitress was off and the one assigned to us had the middle area that were strictly tables.

They receive attitude right from the start.

After we requested a booth instead, she rolled her eyes and said it’s not her section but we could more or less.

After that it was apparent we was in her bad books.

No refills, no check ins and had to beg another server for my bill . Final total 96.64.

So, she gave her what she felt she deserved.

I left no tip .

I’m normally a very generous tipper but I don’t tolerate bad service or food. It’s been my pet peeve since I could drive.

AITA with unreasonable expectations for servers ? Or am i being logical here?

It is rude not to tip, but it’s even ruder to intentionally ignore paying customers.

Here is what people are sharing on Reddit.

Good idea. If he’s competent, he’ll care.

It’s not a recent concept.

I sort of agree.

Fortunately I haven’t had to leave no tip, either.

“Deserve” being the key word here.

No respect, no tip.
