Plans with friends should be treated with respect and reliability. If you make plans with a friend and need to cancel, that’s okay, but if you cancel over and over again, your friends are bound to be a little frustrated.

In this story, a woman kept making plans with a friend who recently started canceling at the last minute.

Although the reasons were usually small and understandable, the repeated cancellations started becoming frustrating.

While she hasn’t said anything to her friend, she felt like it’s time to let her know.

This exact scenario happens all too often. Read the full story below, and see if this has ever happened to you.

AITA for getting annoyed when my friend cancels plans last minute even if they have a reason?

This has been happening more often lately, and I’m not sure if I’m overreacting.

I have a friend who I make plans with pretty regularly.

Recently, they have started canceling last minute quite a lot.

Sometimes, it is because they are tired. Sometimes, something else comes up.

This woman tries to be understanding.

It is usually not a huge dramatic reason.

It is just things like not feeling up to it.

I always try to be understanding.

I get that life happens and people do not always feel like going out.

But she also feels upset that it’s happening more often.

At the same time, it is starting to feel a bit frustrating.

This is especially true when I have already planned my day around it.

It is also frustrating when I was actually looking forward to it.

Now, she’s unsure if her feelings are valid.

I have never said anything. I do not want to make them feel guilty.

I also do not want them to feel like they cannot cancel if they need to.

But I cannot help feeling a bit annoyed when it keeps happening.

AITA for feeling this way even if I have not said anything to them?

Friends like this can truly be annoying, especially if you’re already set with your plans.

Do you know one or two people who keep on canceling on you? How do you deal with them?
