I work in an old building. I am one of the only women on my floor.

There is an old bathroom on my floor, and the door stays open.

Right next to it are a bunch of offices. Everyone can hear you when you go to the bathroom.

I could always close the door.

This woman uses the bathroom on the floor below hers.

It is very likely I will be in the bathroom with my 60-year-old male boss a few times a week.

He is cool and I like him. But no, thanks.

On the floor below me, there is a more normal and more private bathroom.

It is equally old. I use it and leave.

But a coworker gets mad whenever she does.

Apparently, the old crabby women on that floor do not like that.

I do not leave a mess. I do not go number 2.

They explicitly told me that no one can use their bathroom.

The only other option is a public bathroom on the first floor.

It is dark and disgusting. No, thanks.

I do not care if I am overreacting. That is such an unhinged thing to do.

Lol. I’m not sure whether it’s funny or frustrating. Honestly, that’s such an awkward situation to deal with.
