Working front desk in a tourist town means encountering every possible flavor of entitlement eventually, and one hospitality worker in Bozeman documented yet another one for the books.

A walk-in guest with no reservation, showing up after midnight on a sold-out summer weekend, reacted to a polite “we’re fully booked” like she’d been personally wronged by the universe itself.

What followed was a masterclass in escalating nonsense, invented claims about secret emergency rooms, a threat to blast the hotel to her TikTok following, and an impromptu unauthorized photo shoot on the patio that had to be shut down entirely.

The grand finale arrived when she offered “exposure” to her 20,000 followers as fair trade for a $650-a-night room, a pitch so absurd it earned nothing but a genuine laugh from the person behind the desk.

Not the first time, and not the last..

Just had a woman and her partner come to check in with no reservation.

I apologized and told her we are sold out (this is Bozeman, MT, a very touristy area) but that I would be happy to call and ask if our sister property had a room available.

This invoked quite the fiery response.

Good lord, you would have thought I took away her reason for life!

She then told me how she worked in hotels for x number of years and she “knows that we always keep aside a room for emergencies/walk ins.”

Clearly, this guest is mistaken.

It is after midnight. In a tourist city. On a weekend. No. We do not hold aside rooms for walk ins. In the winter, yes. In the summer? That is a hard no.

Then her reasoning gets even more audacious.

I then get hit with the “I am an influencer and will tell my audience how crappy of a hotel this is!”

Dear sweet little baby J, what? She then tells me that she would have given us the exposure for her followers to come stay and how she is never denied.

This influencer continues to make everyone else’s life a nightmare.

Her buddy and her decide to set up a “photo shoot” outside on the patio. I asked them to not do that and that I would need them to leave.

She again hits me with, “Do you know I have 20k followers on TikTok! I would have given your hotel business in return for exposure.”

This employee can hardly get over her entitlement.

Y’all, I can’t even. She expected a free room for “exposure” in a tourist city at my hotel when our rates start at $650 per night, on a weekend (yes, I know it’s Sunday).

You know you have worked in hotels for a long time when someone does this and you just laugh at them, like an actual audible laugh.

I am not even shocked anymore. Angry? Yes. Shocked? No.

This user doesn’t see influencers as a force of good in the world.

I mean, does this woman truly expect the world to bend over backwards for her?
