I am a 23F, and I am currently doing a liquid diet.

My husband (25M) is not doing the diet with me.

I told him that he needs to be responsible for his own meals.

Because it is not fair to ask me to cook him a steak when I am trying to be disciplined on my liquid diet.

He is used to me always cooking his meals, and every day he asks me what we are eating.

I told him that he needs to figure that out for himself while I am on this diet.

I shouldn’t be responsible for feeding him.

But he got mad and threatened that her that he wouldn’t eat if she didn’t cook for him.

I am fasting because I have a food addiction.

I am trying to fix my relationship with food by not always running to it when I am sad, happy, stressed, etc.

My husband knows that I have an issue with food and discipline.

So I don’t understand why he is mad that I won’t cook for him during this time.

He also said that if I don’t cook for him, he just won’t eat. Am I the jerk if I let him starve?

OP is not obligated to prepare her husband’s meals simply because she usually does so.

Her husband clearly knows what she is going through and why she has to do a liquid diet.

He should be more responsible about preparing his own food.
