neighbor said she owns the public parking spots
I (F26) just had a (F45-50?) neighbor go insane on me yesterday about parking infront of my house.
She started off implying I’m stupid and was taking up two spots and she owns those two spots for herself and her guests whenever they want to come over.
I didnt take up two spots and a car and actually parked next to me earlier that day.
This was the first time she’d really talked to her neighbor.
We always spoke from hi/bye and waving so when she insulted me, it threw me off guard.
Her eyes kept quickly darting from me to the side and back while yelling so I knew she was full of nonsense and just wanted something to unload.
I just calmly said “ok” so she could go away and I could get to work but she walked back and tried to be “nice” and explain but you can feel the hate in her voice.
She looped in her landlord.
Now, she waits until I get in my car to leave and she takes the spot while having her own private driveway lol.
I regret not telling her to leave me alone the first time.
No one really owns the parking spots so I plan on ignoring her but If she pops up again, I’ll have to talk to back off.
I told my LL just to be aware and he thinks she’s crazy and to ask her for her permit if she owns it. He said he will talk to her too if he sees her.
That neighbor sounds crazy. I’m glad her landlord is on her side.

This person also had a neighbor who was crazy about street parking.

Some people are way too concerned about street parking. It’s public parking!
I know some people are weird about people parking in front of their house, even though it’s perfectly legal, but to be upset because someone parked in front of their own house? That’s really crazy.
I’m glad her landlord is on her side.
