Maybe being blocked is a blessing in disguise.
A middle schooler who spends three unplanned hours holding a household together and then calmly says she’d like some help next time is not a disrespectful brat, she’s the most mature person in the room.
Both she and her sister could stand to grow up a little.
Maybe next time, both of these siblings should just mind their own business.
One can only tolerate so much disrespect until they finally snap.
It’s time for this mother to recognize the enormous contributions this teen is already making.
