Guy Makes Giant Periscope So He Can See the Eiffel Tower from Bed
Tinkerer and DIY enthusiast Lucas Berbesson recently built a DIY periscope so he could see the Eiffel Tower from his bed.
Berbesson posted a step-by-step guide on Imgur in addition to a video tutorial on YouTube (which you can find embedded below). For more information and to see more projects from Lucas, check out his page on La Fabrique DIY!

“It works like a giant periscope” [source]
“General scheme of the installation” [source]
“I glued big mirrors on marine wood. Mirrors are 1.2 m long. Wood boards are 1.5 cm thick, same size as the mirrors and water resistant. They bring strength and rigidity to the glass.” [source]
“Steel brackets on each extremity of the mirrors.” [source]
“Blocks of wood because I did not want to screw directly through concrete.” [source]
“I glued the blocks on my window” [source]
“I used a flexible piece of wood to apply strength between the facing blocks while the glue dries.” [source]
“Then I screwed the mirrors inside the blocks. I used one big screw on purpose to be able to turn the mirror and make angle adjustment.” [source]
