Guy Puts His Glasses on the Museum Floor and People Thought It Was Art

by twistedsifter

A couple of weeks back, 17-year-old TJ Khayatan and his friends took a visit to the SF MOMA (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) to enjoy some art. TJ told BuzzFeed:

“Upon first arrival we were quite impressed with the artwork and paintings presented in the huge facility. However, some of the ‘art’ wasn’t very surprising to some of us. We stumbled upon a stuffed animal on a gray blanket and questioned if this was really impressive to some of the nearby people”

That’s when TJ and his friends decided to have a little fun, placing a pair of glasses on the floor and observing people’s reactions.

The twitter post has since gone viral and TJ and his friends have even been interviewed about their stunt. Interestingly, the ‘stunt’ has started a conversation about whether it should be considered as a form of performance art considering the attention it has received and the reaction people have had towards it.

Regardless, the SF MOMA has some incredible artworks and is definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in town. You can find out more at the official website.

TJ and his friends attempted the same idea with a hat but it was not mistaken for art.
