An Australian man named Jayden posted a video on TikTok and got real about how his family’s lottery win had a big impact on his life…both good and bad.

Jayden told viewers his family won the lottery a decade ago and he said, “Overnight, we went from pretty decently poor to multi-millionaires, and life obviously changed from there.”

He continued, “We were definitely more of the lower-class income. We had a home that we were fighting to keep and very much a paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle.”

Jayden said his family members felt guilty about winning the lottery and explained, “The experience of winning the lottery gives you no option to be a normal person. You feel like you need to be someone else.”

He told viewers that he didn’t feel “normal” until he went to Los Angeles and said, “So many people with crazy realities here, and crazy journeys. We felt bad we were so lucky.”
