He Parked a Truck in the Alley by His Back Door Just to Move Into His New Apartment—And His Neighbor’s Reaction Left Him Wondering If He’d Actually Done Anything Wrong

You know what I’ve found goes a really long way?
Being nice to people!
And remaining calm…even when something gets on my nerves.
That’s the way to live, people!
But the guy in this story apparently hasn’t learned that yet.

AITA for parking 8 feet away from my back patio door while moving in, instead of 125 feet away from the front door?
“I’m moving into a new apartment and using a 10 foot box truck to haul my stuff.
I had a bit of a parking situation. I could either park right behind my building where my back patio door is less than 8 feet from the truck, or I could park way up near the entrance which would block the mailboxes a bit and is about 125 feet to my front door from the truck.
The issue is where I stop the truck is the exact spot where parking is allowed on the left side of this back road, in the apartment complex, in essence turning the “road” into a one lane, 2 way road for 75 to 100 feet, which dead ends into a set of garages.
Yesterday as soon as I stopped and got out of my truck, some guy from the 3rd floor is yelling about how people need to come and go.
Dude…relax…
I waived and said hello to him, and told him my apartment number, and that I’ll be done in about 30 to 45 minutes.
If he needs me to move to just let me know and I’ll move the truck. From inside my place I can see my truck and if someone is on either side of it and can move my truck back 20 feet allowing cars to pass if needed.
I empty my truck, no issues of anyone waiting or honking.
Today, I park again at the backside , and as soon as I do, there is a car coming, I back up, We wave cordially to each other and no issue. I park again and empty my truck.
This guy is a bit of a hot-head!
As soon as I get back in and start the truck, guess who is coming towards me?
He saw me closing my door, and he just lays on his horn and making a lot of gestures and yelling at me through his truck. I can’t hear him, but can clearly see him yelling.
AITA?
Or in this instance a little patience and courtesy should be allotted for someone moving in or out? I will add less than a minute to there time of coming and going.”
