One homeowner was horrified when his next-door neighbor began making strange accusations and showing up at his door.

At the beginning of September, my next-door neighbour went crazy. I had met him once three weeks earlier, when he came to my door to ask if I had visitors.

When I told him no, he insisted on coming in and checking. I, of course, said no and closed the door.

But that wasn’t the last this homeowner saw of this neighbor.

I think he came to complain about noise (his speech wasn’t very coherent, so I don’t fully know what he wanted), but I wasn’t doing anything noisy, my TV wasn’t even on. Maybe he was hearing things.

That’s when the drama escalated dramatically.

On the first of September, someone, most likely this very neighbour, dumped glass shards through my mail slot. I made a police report and took the shards to them.

The next evening, on the second, the neighbour came to my door again, but I didn’t open it because I suspected he was behind the shard incident and that he was unstable.

Then came the grand finale.

The next morning, on the third, the neighbour threw a toilet-roll-sized rock at my door multiple times and slashed my door with a kitchen knife. I called the police, and they took him away and took a statement from me.

I suspect he’s mentally unwell and hope he gets help for that, but as far away from me as possible.

This neighbor is straight up a danger to society.
