Woman’s Neighbor Makes Noise All Day With His Loud Car, And She’s Reached Her Breaking Point

Oh, I’m familiar with this woman’s struggles…
I used to live by a guy who revved and revved the engine on his beat-up car at all hours…
And it didn’t help that he preferred to park his vehicle right outside my bedroom window.
Ugh!
It was pretty brutal…
This woman is going through something similar and she talked about why it’s driving her nuts in the story below.

My retired neighbour is driving me mental.
“My estate is divided into 2-3 acre blocks. We have a beautiful home, a large yard and the perfect set up for our little family. The only downside to living here is our neighbour across the road.
This sounds awful…
He’s a retired mechanic and has a hobby performance car that he works on. Every. Single. Day. Without fail, from 8 am to about 4 pm, he tinkers, then gets in and revs the engine for 5 minutes. Tinkers, revs. Tinkers, revs.
On the weekends, he’s up especially early to drive down to our local supermarket, get the paper and a coffee, then comes home.
He revs his car for about 10 minutes in the morning before he sets off, then he’s back after 20 minutes and revs the car before turning it off, just to start his tinkering cycle a few hours later.
What?!?!
The most annoying part is this has been happening for the last 5 years. Every day, without fail, for 5 years.
In this time I’ve had a baby with another on the way. My poor toddler gets woken from his nap almost every day, even though we have all our windows and doors shut and his white noise machine on loud to try and block out the noise.
She needs to have a talk with this guy…
He barely slept as a newborn because of the constant revving! Now I’m due to have my second and I’m dreading what this will look like with 2 sleepy, cranky bubbas.
I’m very friendly with many of our neighbours and everyone feels the same way. Everyone is over it, everyone has had enough but the police don’t do anything so we’ve all just given up.
We moved from the city to this little pocket in search of peace and quiet and we were *so close* to having it!
I look forward to the day that he sells or can no longer work on the car.
Hopefully it won’t be another 5 years.”
