Vertically-Sliced Timelapse Photos of Buildings at Sunset
Richard Silver is a professional photographer born and raised in New York City. In his ongoing series entitled New York Sliced, Silver takes about 25-30 photos of a single building over the course of approximately 1.5 hours.
The photos are taken at sundown and Silver has carefully selected about 55-60 famous buildings in New York City for the project. A work in progress since 2010, Silver has shot about 25 buildings to date. With each vertical slice representing the gradual transition from day to night, we can see the different mood each building takes as time passes.
It’s an interesting series and one the Sifter looks forward to seeing more of!
