These Art Students Made 100 Popsicles from Polluted Waterways Around Taiwan
Three art students from the National Taiwan University of the Arts have been making a stir with their group project, ‘Polluted Water Popsicles’.
Hung I-chen, Guo Yi-hui, and Cheng Yu-ti collected sewage runoff from 100 locations around Taiwan, freezing the samples in a popsicle mold and then encasing the treats in a polyester resin.
The students took the project a step further, designing individual wrappers for every popsicle, assigning each collection location a different number and flavor. You can learn more about the project on the students’ Facebook project page as well as Mashable and Quartz.
