Property boundaries can become a serious source of frustration between neighbors.

The following story is about a man who noticed that his neighbor kept using his private driveway as though it were shared property.

The neighbor parked his motorcycle there, washed it there, and even used the driveway to store things while cleaning his garage.

Despite already speaking with him about it, the neighbor continued ignoring the boundary.

We live in a townhouse with an adjoining driveway to the neighbour.

Note that I said adjoining and not shared.

I’ll come home from work to find my neighbour’s motorcycle parked in my driveway.

Or he will wash his motorcycle in my driveway.

If he cleans out his garage, he will use my driveway to put his stuff while he sorts out the garage.

This man tried to speak to his neighbor, but to no avail.

Yes, I have tried speaking with him.

This is not a shared driveway, nor is it a shared backyard.

I’ve had conversations with my cat who better understood what I was saying than this guy.
