Next door neighbor blasting tv/movies
I just moved into my first apartment two months ago.
And I need some advice on a loud neighbor.
I’m in a small complex, so there’s only one apartment directly next to me.
My neighbor blasts movies and TV at such a high volume that the bass is shaking my walls.
This woman tried leaving a note, but it didn’t help at all.
I originally left a note on his door kindly asking that they turn the volume down.
But it doesn’t seem to have done anything. It happens at all hours of the day.
I’ve tried recording the sound, but my phone doesn’t pick up the frequency very well.
So you can’t hear it at all on recording.
Now, she’s asking for advice on what to do moving forward.
I’m currently writing a list of all of the times that it’s been happening.
So that I can bring it to the landlord if it doesn’t stop.
What else should I do, since recording isn’t really an option?
Some neighbors can be truly inconsiderate of the other people around them.
OP just wanted some peace and quiet in her apartment, so she tried raising the concern politely.
I guess if the problem continues, involving the landlord may be the next action to take.
Hopefully, the neighbor turns the volume down before this becomes a full-blown apartment battle.
